Cold as a Witches Tit

I know it was a lot colder during last weeks polar vortex crap, but when one is babysitting an adorable puppy named Willy Nelson that needs to go on 6 walks a day, -6 feels really cold.

And this morning, Mr Nelson felt like he needed take 22 minutes to find a desirable place to drop a deuce.

It was -6, with windchill it felt like -16.

Good thing you are cute, Willy!

Hope all of you dealing with the cold are finding nice ways to stay warm.  And hopefully all of those hit by winter storm Janice calm your tits and realize it is just a snow storm.

Peace out cub scouts.

A Mountain Man by Any Other Name...

We live in a small rural area.

Little things--like a new, young, studly mountain manager at the oldest ski area in the US--tend to make the news a bit.  Since Mountain Man's promotion 2 years ago there have been countless news stories, videos and publications with his name and picture.

No joke, when he first took over, we were getting calls from reporters about 3 times a day for a solid two weeks.

Want his autograph?

Now that it is the height of winter in Vermont, they seem to be at it again.

On Wednesday there was a magazine article published and two articles in the local paper (front page, above the fold.  Ahem.) about him.  It was pretty exciting.

Except that in each article his name was different.

One was correct.

Then there was Gunner Goodwin.  (MM seems to like this adaptation of his name best.)

And in the EXACT same newspaper that called him Gunner, they refer to him as Gallen Goodwin in the second article.

Ladies, not only am I married to a local celebrity, I am apparently married to three.  You can start fanning yourselves with envy now.

Breaking News: Granny out 'til 2 am

And I lived to tell the tale (and wore heels the whole time)!

We spent a night out on the town in the big city, ate delicious food from 8 pm until 2 am, had yummy cocktails, ran in the rain, and laughed and laughed.  It was a great little girls night.

Well that's pinteresting

I have had a smidge of OCD most of my adult life, but ever since buying Goodwin Ranch it has been kicked into high gear.  Owning your own digs to decorate as you like has me scouring the web for ideas--ways I can turn the ranch into a beautiful home worthy of a design magazine.

I pine over pinterest posts, looking for the perfect bedroom for Mountain Man and I to call our own retreat.  I constantly look at other blogs and see how people turn their bedrooms into a beautiful oasis.  It seems like every blogger out there has a swoon worthy room that I am lusting over.

I literally fantasize about having a bedroom as gorgeous as the ones I find on the internet.  I plot out paint colors, furniture, accent pieces, decor.  I check my bank account regularly to see if I miraculously woke up with a few extra Gs to decorate the master suite.  I constantly think up the perfect blue for our walls.

Instead, I live with a man who, despite my dreams of having the PERFECT BEDROOM, he does this to his side of the room:

Pinterest worthy we are not.

But hopefully someday!

Happy new year, chickens.
