I hate: pistachios that will not open, regardless of how hard you pry with your fingernails, even if you suck and chew on them (and chip a tooth) to try to soften their shells, even if you try to hammer them out with a makeshift hammer (full water bottle) at your desk at work while looking a fool.
I had to throw away far too many unopenable little green nuts this morning and I am none to pleased about it.

Hey just a little tidbit of info, theres a brand that guarantees all the pistachios in the bag are big and open, they will even send you a whole bag for free if you find a closed one! The only catch is you have to keep your receipt in order to get the free bag. I cant for the life of me think of the name of it now, its a green and white bag with a cartoon pistachio on the front :) Hope this helps a little next time you have some :)
